Description
A savory and aromatic garlic bread topped with fresh tomatoes and basil, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread or baguette
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place cut-side up on the baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes on top of the buttered bread, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
