Description

A savory and aromatic garlic bread topped with fresh tomatoes and basil, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread or baguette
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. Arrange the halved cherry tomatoes on top of the buttered bread, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
