Description

Perfectly seared scallops served with a vibrant, tangy lime cilantro sauce for a quick and elegant meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter


Instructions

  1. Season scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in lime juice, honey, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then whisk in butter until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in cilantro, and pour sauce over scallops. Serve immediately.
