Description
Perfectly seared scallops served with a vibrant, tangy lime cilantro sauce for a quick and elegant meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Season scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lime juice, honey, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes, then whisk in butter until melted and sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat, stir in cilantro, and pour sauce over scallops. Serve immediately.
