Description

Perfectly seared scallops served with a bright, tangy lime and cilantro sauce that brings a burst of freshness to every bite.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together lime juice, cilantro, garlic, honey, 1/4 cup olive oil, and red pepper flakes (if using) to make the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Season scallops generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add scallops in a single layer, searing for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Transfer scallops to a serving plate and drizzle generously with the zesty lime cilantro sauce. Serve immediately.
