Description

A quick and healthy side dish featuring tender spinach and savory mushrooms sautéed with garlic and olive oil.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh spinach, washed and stems removed
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for 5-7 minutes until browned and tender.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add spinach in batches, stirring until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice if using. Stir to combine.
  6. Serve immediately as a side dish.
