Description

A sophisticated yet simple dessert or appetizer featuring warm, tender roasted pears topped with creamy blue cheese and crunchy toasted walnuts.


Ingredients

  • 4 ripe but firm pears, halved and cored
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
  • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange pear halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, honey, and cinnamon. Brush generously over pears.
  3. Roast pears for 20-25 minutes until tender and lightly caramelized.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Top each pear half with blue cheese and walnuts.
  5. Garnish with thyme if desired. Serve warm as an appetizer or dessert.
