Description

A zesty and fresh wrap featuring marinated chicken, crisp vegetables, and a creamy yogurt sauce, all tucked into warm pita bread for a quick Mediterranean-inspired meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 pita bread rounds
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/2 cup diced tomato
  • 1/4 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tsp lemon zest


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add chicken strips, toss to coat, and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fully cooked and golden brown.
  3. In a small bowl, mix Greek yogurt, dill, and lemon zest to make the sauce.
  4. Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet or microwave for 20-30 seconds until pliable.
  5. Assemble wraps by spreading yogurt sauce on each pita, then topping with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, red onion, cooked chicken, and feta cheese.
  6. Fold or roll the pita around the fillings and serve immediately.
