Description

A juicy grilled flank steak topped with a fresh Caprese-inspired salad and a tangy balsamic glaze, combining savory and bright flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella balls (ciliegine)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar


Instructions

  1. Season the flank steak with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  3. In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and torn basil. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and toss gently.
  4. Arrange sliced steak on a platter, top with the Caprese salad, and drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
