Description
A juicy grilled flank steak topped with a fresh tomato, mozzarella, and basil salad, drizzled with balsamic glaze for a flavorful twist on classic Caprese.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs flank steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- Season the flank steak with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill the steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices on a platter, top with basil leaves, and drizzle with balsamic glaze.
- Slice the rested steak thinly against the grain and serve over the Caprese salad.
