Ingredients
- 1 block (8 oz) feta cheese
- 1/4 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 cup Kalamata olives
- Fresh oregano leaves for garnish
- 4 pita bread rounds, warmed
Instructions
- Place the feta cheese block in the center of a large serving board or platter.
- In a bowl, toss the sliced onions with flour, salt, and pepper until coated. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry onions until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- Arrange the cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, olives, and warm pita bread around the feta on the board.
- Drizzle the hot honey generously over the feta cheese, then top with the crispy fried onions and fresh oregano leaves.
- Serve immediately, encouraging guests to scoop feta and toppings onto pita bread.
