Description

A vibrant, shareable board featuring creamy feta cheese drizzled with spicy hot honey and topped with crispy fried onions, served with fresh vegetables, olives, and warm pita bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 block (8 oz) feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives
  • Fresh oregano leaves for garnish
  • 4 pita bread rounds, warmed


Instructions

  1. Place the feta cheese block in the center of a large serving board or platter.
  2. In a bowl, toss the sliced onions with flour, salt, and pepper until coated. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry onions until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Arrange the cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, olives, and warm pita bread around the feta on the board.
  4. Drizzle the hot honey generously over the feta cheese, then top with the crispy fried onions and fresh oregano leaves.
  5. Serve immediately, encouraging guests to scoop feta and toppings onto pita bread.
