Description
A delightful appetizer featuring flaky puff pastry wrapped around creamy feta, baked until golden, and drizzled with a sweet-tart cranberry honey sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 8 oz block feta cheese
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the puff pastry into 8 equal rectangles. Place a slice of feta in the center of each, season with pepper, and roll up tightly, sealing edges.
- Brush each roll with egg wash, place on the baking sheet, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, combine cranberries, honey, and water in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until cranberries burst and sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove rolls from oven, let cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle with cranberry honey sauce and sprinkle with thyme before serving.
