Tender cod strips pan-seared in a rich garlic butter sauce, served with a tangy sweet chili lime dipping sauce for a quick and flavorful seafood dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cod fillets, cut into strips
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- Pat the cod strips dry with paper towels and season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the cod strips and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return the cod strips to the skillet, tossing gently to coat in the garlic butter sauce. Cook for an additional minute.
- In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce and lime juice to make the dipping sauce.
- Serve the cod strips hot, drizzled with any remaining garlic butter, alongside the sweet chili lime sauce and lime wedges. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
