Description
A decadent pasta dish featuring succulent shrimp in a rich, creamy garlic sauce with a hint of spice, perfect for a special dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb linguine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Return shrimp to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce.
- Add cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing everything together until well combined. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
