Description
A creamy, tangy whipped feta dip topped with sweet-tart cranberry sauce and a spicy honey drizzle, perfect for holiday gatherings or appetizer spreads.
Ingredients
- 8 oz block feta cheese, crumbled
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
- Crackers or toasted bread for serving
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine crumbled feta, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a serving bowl and spread evenly.
- In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens slightly, about 8-10 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- In another small saucepan, warm honey and red pepper flakes over low heat for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes, then strain out flakes if desired.
- Spoon the cranberry sauce over the whipped feta layer, then drizzle with the hot honey. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately with crackers or toasted bread.
