A gourmet twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring creamy brie, sweet blackberry jam, and buttery sourdough bread for a decadent sandwich.
Ingredients
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 6 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 4 tbsp blackberry jam
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Spread blackberry jam evenly on two slices of sourdough bread.
- Layer brie slices on top of the jam, then sprinkle with fresh thyme if using. Top with the remaining bread slices.
- Butter the outer sides of each sandwich generously.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, let cool for 1 minute, then slice and serve warm.
