Description
A gourmet twist on the classic grilled cheese, featuring creamy brie, sweet blackberry jam, and buttery sourdough bread for a perfect sweet-savory combination.
Ingredients
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup blackberry jam
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Spread blackberry jam evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer brie slices on top of the jam on half of the bread slices, then sprinkle with thyme if using. Top with the remaining bread slices, jam-side down.
- Butter the outer sides of each sandwich with softened butter.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook sandwiches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, then slice and serve warm.
