Description

A warm, elegant dessert or appetizer featuring sweet baked pears stuffed with creamy brie, crunchy walnuts, and tart dried cranberries, drizzled with honey.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm pears (such as Bosc or Anjou), halved and cored
  • 4 oz brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place pear halves cut-side up in the baking dish. Brush the cut surfaces with melted butter.
  3. In a small bowl, mix brie, walnuts, cranberries, cinnamon, and salt. Divide the mixture among the pear halves, pressing gently into the cores.
  4. Drizzle honey over each stuffed pear. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until pears are tender and brie is melted.
  5. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
